How long have you worked at Housing 21?
Ten years. I started with London Borough of Barnet on 1/12/1996 and was transferred over to Housing 21 in Sept 02.
What made you want to work at Housing 21?
By default really, was working for London Borough of Barnet and was transferred over.
About my job
I work in Home Care and provide care to elderly and disabled people in the community. I work mainly in the Asian Elders team, where I provide daily care to clients whose first language is not English. As I speak Gujerati it enables me to speak to them directly and understand their needs.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
I enjoy my job, because I particularly like talking to elderly clients, and helping them as best I can. This may include feeding them, dressing them, shopping and many other tasks too.
What is it like to work at Housing 21?
I have got on very well at Housing 21 and found them to be very helpful. I get on well both with my colleagues and managers. I believe that Housing 21 are one of the better providers of care to the elderly and disabled people.
Where do you see yourself in two years time?
In two years time I am due to retire, however I would like to continue working with Housing 21 for as long as I can, I enjoy my work that much.
