Get involved

There are a number of ways for you to be involved in the running of your court. If you are interested, speak to your court manager or housing services manager.

Court consultation meeting

An annual meeting is held at each court to report back on our performance. We also ask what you would like done on your court from major repairs to social activities.

Tenants' association

We encourage tenants to form a tenants' association. Speak to your court manager on how to set one up, or download a copy of the Tenants' Association Handbook.

Court voice

Sometimes one or two tenants are happy to act as representatives for their court. A Court Voice will work with the court manager to ensure issues are dealt with and tenants kept informed.

Housing 21 committees

There are tenant representatives on the housing services committee and our management board.

Regional tenant forums

These forums discuss current issues and allow tenants to make sure their views are heard.

National tenants' conference

An annual conference is held each year where tenants from across the country help us identify our future priorities. National Tenants' Conference Report 2008

Readers' panel

This panel is made up of tenants who check any resident literature to ensure they make sense and are in clear English.

Tenant inspectors

Tenant inspectors are tenants who have been trained to inspect Housing 21's services.

Focus groups

To ensure we take tenants views into account, we occasionally ask a group to review something, such as the website or a new publication design.

Information station

A database of over 300 tenants who are willing to be consulted on a variety of topics relating to Housing 21.

Tenant satisfaction survey

Every two years we randomly select 5% of tenants to answer questions about our services. The results give us an idea of whether our service is improving or deteriorating.

More information is also available in our Resident Partnership Strategy and Resident Involvement Statement.

We also give tenants regular information on the work of Housing 21 through our quarterly magazine, Full House
