Repairs

Our repairs and maintenance service

We will maintain your home and its environment, keeping you informed and consulting with you as to our plans and progress.

We will advise you at the annual court consultation meeting of the schedule of planned works for your court so you will know what major work we are going to carry out and when.

We will arrange for a service engineer to attend your home within 5 working days from the date that you reported that your cooker or fridge that we have supplied is faulty.

If the item cannot be repaired then Housing 21 will arrange for its replacement within 5 working days from the date that we are made aware of the requirement.

We will attend to faults within your home as follows:

  • emergency repairs within 24 hours from the time that we were made aware of the fault.
  • urgent repairs will be attended to within 5 working days.
  • Non urgent repairs and routine repairs will be assessed to see whether it will be more efficient to carry them out as part of a programme of planned maintenance. Where this is not the case, we will normally aim to complete routine repairs within 4 weeks.
  • We will remove graffiti that is racist, offensive or profane that is found on our property within 24 hours from when we are aware of the issue.
