Rachael Dutton, Research Manager

Rachael DuttonRachael has been the Research Manager with Housing 21 Dementia Voice, and Visiting Research Fellow with the University of the West of England, since 1996.  She is responsible for developing and implementing a national programme of applied research on the care and housing for older people with mental health needs.  
 
Previously, Rachael  has worked in research and senior management in:

  • local government
  • health
  • not-for-profit, and 
  • academic settings.  

Her career as a social researcher began as a Research Associate on a five year assistive technology research and development project with the University of Edinburgh. This developed through roles as Senior Health Information Scientist with NHS National Services Scotland, Director of a national health promotion charity, and Research and Evidence Based Practice Manager with a local authority.
