Fairness in an Ageing Society Forum
The Fairness in an Ageing Society Forum was launched in partnership with Counsel and Care and the Fabian Society with the aim of:
- promoting issues of fairness
- analysing key issues that impact on older people
- influencing the government's policy agenda
- creating debate in society about ageing and ageism.
The programme consisted of a series of seminars which concluded that we need a new 'lifelong' approach to ageing, which focuses on:
- a radical change in how older people are treated and involved in society
- greater coalitions for change across the generations
- organising society to get the most for all generations.
Fair ageing: the challenge of our lifetime is the full report on the programme's debates and conclusions and includes viewpoint articles from key commentators
