There's more to Housing 21 than bricks and mortar. As one of the UK's leading providers of housing, care and support services for older people, we deliver independence, choice and control to residents within our extra care schemes and also within the local community by providing personal care and general support. This, we could not do without our valued Home Care Assistants!
To join them, you don't need experience of caring for older people. You will however need an understanding nature, a commitment to providing a high quality service, a flexible approach and be prepared to work some evenings and weekends.
In return, we can offer excellent rates of pay, free training - including NVQ, free uniform and flexible hours.

You’ll carry out all the tasks needed to ensure we deliver high quality home care support services to tenants, from managing our on site care team and making sure services meet national standards to recruiting new Home Care Assistants and identifying training needs. On top of that there will be routine admin tasks such as preparing staff rotas and payroll details.
To qualify for the role, you’ll have substantial experience of providing care services for older people, including supervising and rostering staff. Calm, confident and flexible, you’ll be a gifted communicator and organizer who can work independently and under pressure. Good IT skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook will be essential.

THE ROLE OF CARE TEAM LEADER To organise and supervise the delivery of home care services to frail and vulnerable persons living in their own homes in the the local community.
LOCATION We will be providing care and support to older people throughout the city of Liverpool. Obviously we will look to place our support workers somewhere that is local and convenient to them.
HOURS Our service users need support in the mornings, evening and at weekends. Hours will be delivered across 7 days a week 365 days per year. We will be offering a full time 35 hour contract.
HOLIDAY You will be entitled to 25 days paid holiday per year plus bank holidays.
PAY RATE We will pay you monthly at the end of each month directly into your bank account, the salary for this role will be around £18,000 per year.
TRAVEL You will be required to travel between service users homes, this may be via public transport, on foot, by bicycle or by car. If you use your car we will pay 30p for each mile. We will always try to schedule you to visit service users who live close together.
TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT We take our employees development very seriously. There’ll be plenty of opportunities for you to develop your skills and access to on-going training.
UNIFORM You will be provided with free Housing 21 uniform to save wear and tear on your own clothes.
