Housing 21 homecare workers win prestigious awards
Housing 21 is delighted to announce that two of our valued members of home care staff have won awards at the prestigious Ceretas National Home Care Awards which took place on Saturday 12th May 2007.
The Ceretas National Home Care Awards took place on Saturday 12th May. Hosted by Esther Rantzen the sector’s premier awards culminated in a spectacular gala dinner at the Marriott Hotel, Grosvenor Square, London.
Sponsored by The Royal Bank of Scotland, this is a national event with Department of Health backing and received nominations and support from all corners of the sector.
There have been a number of care awards over the years but these awards are solely dedicated to the home care sector. The purpose is to promote best practice within the sector and to raise the profile of home care. It is also to pay tribute to those people who have demonstrated outstanding excellence within their field of work. Without the dedication, passion and commitment of staff in this sector, care in the home would simply fail.
There were a total of twelve awards categories representing all aspects of the home care. Housing 21 is proud to say that two of our valued member of staff won in the following categories:
HOME CARE WORKER – NORTH JACQUI SMITH
The judges chose Jacqui as her excellent motivational skills with both Service Users and Staff was so clear and positive. She is committed to forging relationships with valued colleagues and the wider community team to make continuous service improvement. Jacqui loves her job and gets a feel good factor from her work.
HOME CARE WORKER - SOUTH TRACEY HUTCHINSON
The judges chose Tracey as it was obvious that her job satisfaction was derived from making people happy, improving their day and lifting their spirits. She relishes the challenge of the job and the incredible range of tasks involved in supporting people in the community.
