How we are regulated

Our housing and care services are regulated by the following independent bodies to ensure that we deliver high quality services.

Tenant Services Authority

The TSA represents tenants, and ensures:

  • tenants are treated fairly
  • we address tenants' concerns
  • our financial practices are regulated.

The Care Quality Commission

The Care Quality Commission is the independent regulator of health and social care in England.  It regulates all health and adult social care services, in the public, private and voluntary sectors.

Homes and Communities Agency

The Homes and Communities Agency is responsible for:

  • land and regeneration
  • ensuring new homes are environmentally and socially sustainable
  • funding regeneration work, including better housing and community facilities.

The Audit Commission

The Audit Commission is responsible for:

  • ensuring public money is spent economically, efficiently and effectively in housing and health
  • inspecting public services to assess their quality and cost effectiveness
  • helping local authorities to continually improve
